Jeffrey Carlson has been Dean of the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Theology at Dominican University since 2002. Previously, he served as Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Religious Studies, and Associate Dean for Undergraduate Studies in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at DePaul University. At Dominican he works with faculty, staff and students to enhance the quality of more than 40 undergraduate majors, as well as the university’s undergraduate Core Curriculum, Honors Program, Academic Advising, Study Abroad and Service Learning. He received a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from DePaul University and a master’s in divinity and a PhD in Christian theology and the history of religions from the University of Chicago. He is a trustee of the Associated Colleges of the Chicago Area, and trustee emeritus, Council for a Parliament of the World’s Religions. He is co-editor of Jesus and Faith: A Conversation on the Work of John Dominic Crossan, and author of numerous articles in Christian theology, interreligious dialogue and the teaching of religion.
